As the headline suggests, Eminem has released his response to Machine Gun Kelly’s “Rap Devil,” with his “Killshot” diss. MGK didn’t do a bad job, but Eminem really brought the fire, not just with the beat, but with his flow and lyrically, it was more superb than what MGK had. In all honestly the few Eminem songs I heard off his new album, I thought were good, but nothing I would rave over, but this diss track was some of Em’s best work. To those of you who don’t know music well, this is what a quality rap song sounds like. Number one, he got him with lines like “I’m 45 still out selling you,” “had to give you a career to destroy it,” “as long as I’m Shady he’ll be in my shadow,” etc. Two, Eminem really brought the attitude, the way he did it reminded of Ice cube responding to NWA’s diss track. Three, this wasn’t a track where he just simply through a bunch of bars into a beat.
So far, MGK’s diss has 92 million views and 1.5 million likes on YouTube, which was uploaded on the 3rd of September, Em’s is 3 days old right now, has 63 million views and 2.8 million likes, talk about a kill shot. There’s no coming back from this, Eminem is hands down the winner here. Of course, MGK had a response, he took to Instagram to post a picture of him wearing a “Killshot” shirt and wrote “missed me.” Obviously, he didn’t miss Kelly.
